It’s the last week of school before the winter break. Just a few more days until we can sleep in, watch TV, light candles, and exchange presents. The anticipation for the holidays is almost unbearable…

However, at Westbrook Park Elementary School in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, the students didn’t have to wait. The holidays came to them on Monday.

Principal Marc Comfort, dressed as an elf, brought the holiday cheer to the school. He sat on the corner of the building, his feet dangling over the edge, just like the real-life "Elf on the Shelf." His festive attire and playful spirit made the students and staff excited for the upcoming festivities.

Comfort’s elf act was met with enthusiasm and joy from the students. According to Comfort, starting the school day in such a positive and fun way sets a great tone for the rest of the day. It’s important for kids to have something enjoyable to talk about, and he believes that creating a fun atmosphere at school is crucial for fostering a love of learning.

Inspired by the elf tradition, Comfort took it one step further and placed himself in various locations around the school. He even incorporated an Amazon-bought costume into his performances.

Comfort’s goal was to generate excitement among the students and their parents and to create a positive image for the school. He believes that school should be a place that kids genuinely look forward to attending, and he wanted to build goodwill within the school community.

The response to Comfort’s efforts has been overwhelmingly positive. People on Facebook have praised his work, calling it the "best Elf on the Shelf ever" and commending his dedication, leadership, energy, and ability to bring laughter to the school community.

Mr. Comfort, you are an amazing principal! Your dedication to creating a fun and positive school environment is truly remarkable. We appreciate the love and care you have for the students, and the impact you are making at Westbrook Park Elementary is truly inspiring. Keep up the fantastic work! #elf #merrychristmas
